Been so busy at work lately I have no time to journal down things that God has revealed to be and things I want to thank Him for.
But today I heard an amazing testimony that I really needed to journal down to read and re-read in the future.
So during lunch break today, my colleague was telling me about how she loves hearing testimonies and how she has been blessed and encouraged by all the testimonies she has heard. She also mentioned that she keeps a collection of testimonies to remind her of His love.
So last week, when she heard an amazing testimony, she challenged the guy to note it down and send it to her so she can bless others with it.

Here goes:
"Dear beloveds, it was a good time of sharing and feasting after service today. I decided to heed Hazel’s prompting to document down the revelation that Daddy Jesus deposited in me when i was driving to work recently.
In May last year, i left a very comfortable corporate job in advertising to start a business with a portion of my savings. With no income, I had to change my lifestyle and learn to live with less.
It was during this season that the devil was attempting to steal my attention and eyes from Jesus and onto the things around me. The spirit of comparison started to brew in me where i'd secretly be jealous of my peers around me who were seemingly moving ahead in life with a new car, house, etc. Business was not doing well and not only had i gone for months without any salary, i felt bad that i couldn’t give my parents a monthly allowance.
That was when our Heavenly Father spoke to me as i was driving to work one morning. He asked me, “Son, how many pieces of glass are there in your car?” I answered, “The 2 side mirrors, the rear view mirror and the giant windscreen in front of me , Lord.” He then threw me the next question, “Why are the 2 side mirrors on your left and right the smallest pieces then?” As i stayed silent pondering, He began to pour the answer into me. “Son, if you keep looking to the left and to the right while you drive, you will get into an accident. When you don’t fix your eyes onto the road and keep looking at the Porsche on your left and the Mercedes on your right, you will crash right?” I grew up loving cars and always wished that i could drive either a Porsche or Mercedes. Beloveds, when we live life looking at people around us and being jealous of what they have and what we don’t, we lose sight of the road ahead of us. That’s dangerous driving. Check out your competition using the 2 side mirrors from time to time, but don’t be distracted by it.
God then continued to probe further and asked me, “Why is the rear view mirror the next smallest piece of glass then?” Similarly, when you drive looking at the rear view mirror and not keeping your eyes on the road, you crash. If we live life looking at our past, wishing we had done this or that and not on the road we are driving on, we end up in an accident too. Use it to make sure that your past does not follow you too closely because we all know what happens when one car follows too closely to the other. The rear view mirror is designed for you to remember the right turns you took to get to where you are today. The right amount of acceleration, braking and steering that allowed you to conquer the distance so far. Remember the lessons you can take to drive better in the journey forward. The rear view mirror is there for you to learn from the past, not live in it.
By now, i was already overwhelmed by His wisdom and grace in sharing with me. He then rounded it all up by almost whispering, “Son, and that’s why the biggest piece of glass is your windscreen in front of you. The best part of your journey is the one ahead of you. Fix your eyes on the road where i have called you to be. Trust in me that the destination i want to bring you to is beautiful and don’t be distracted by other seemingly flashier and shinier cars or reminisce and get stuck in the places you have already driven past. Focus on driving your own journey that i have called you to and we will have many adventures along the way."
I was humbled.
It was almost as if Daddy God told me, “At least you have a car, Son!” He reminded me of David with the rock and the sling in his hands when he faced Goliath. He did not look to his left or to his right and bemoan to God about why he couldn’t have swords and spears just like the rest of the soldiers. David chose to fix his eyes on the Lord and trust that it wasn’t about the “car” he was driving, but the destination that God has promised him.
Beloveds, choose to fix your eyes on Jesus as you drive on the journey that he has designed for you. Don’t allow the enemy to sow seeds of comparison in your life and end up driving looking to your left and to your right. Don’t be defined by your past but instead learn from it. I pray that you drive looking through the biggest piece of glass in your life because truly, the biggest blessings are ahead of you!"
I really loved how God revealed Himself to this guy. When we say God speaks in the most unexpected ways, He really does. Sometimes you just have to lean in to hear His voice.
Never heard of this way of interpretation for keeping your eyes on Jesus, srsly....
Times like this, you know for sure the wisdom and word of knowledge comes from Him. Who would ever think of such interpretation seriously. And be mindful, this person's a guy.... guys are GENERALLY narrow-minded, they dont think so much - just quoting from typical stereotypes that some guys have acknowledged and agreed on.
