when you have worked for quite some time, you start to think what you really want in life. what are your true passions, what are your capabilities & strengths, what you are able to see yourself doing for years. you start to weigh different factors of work.
i was talking to a friend and she threw me a question that she asked herself "would you rather a job you're not learning anything or a job that you're learning a lot? but in the job you're learning a lot, you're super micro-managed and in the job you're not learning much, you have more autonomy."
then there are some factors like would you prefer a job with good boss but friendly colleagues or bad boss with mean colleagues? job with good job scope but poor pay or poor job scope with good pay? mentally/physically pressurising job? sigh, life sucks. I DONT KNOW. of course I'd love to have the best of all worlds. then it also depends which stage of life you're at isnt it?
