When you give yourself permission to fail, you give yourself permission to be the son of the Father. A servant focuses on God...." gosh i wished i was quick enough to write down every word that Ps Lia wrote to encourage the worship leader. I wished I did... (did a google search and this exact phrase did not come up at all, this must not be a phrase quoted from a book. It could have been adapted from somewhere, but certainly words of wisdom and knowledge from Ps Lia I'm sure)
Visited Heart of God church and it happened to be the Pastors' ministry's 21st anniversary. Didnt expect to take away anything much cause it isnt my home church afterall, but was beyond blessed by the sharing. God still spoke in the midst.
So inspired by Ps How & Ps Lia's work in the church and cant believe they started in their 20s - MY AGE, GASP. Even making simple daily decisions are sometimes tough, what more starting a church. Was so amazed they could endure 3 years of unpaid work + 1.5 years of $1.5k monthly salary. what were they even surviving on?!
So blessed throughout by every word spoken by both pastors (they werent even speaking, people just quoted them and shared on the work they have done). The words were soo full of wisdom, so full of encouragement and love. There are some people in life you wished you'll never lose and will always have, i think the church felt that way today :)
Thank you for having me and blessing me! Go be the salt and light for the world! Do what you do best and choose Him every day! 💕 This church is going to do so much more groundbreaking things.
you know this reminds me so much of Hillsong Australia. of the humble pastors, genuine & sincere pastors we have there. of the pastors who pour their hearts out each time though the world so quick to attack them. of the pastors who just choose God regardless.
I used to be that kid who judge big churches, who think that big churches just want fame and maybe fortune. But i've learnt not to be so quick to judge them. I've seen and heard so much these churches have done. How generous they have been, how impactful, how blessed many have been. None of these any one can achieve, only a selected few are able to. and I love how pastors of these big churches do not attain all the success to themselves at all, they always always always give God the honour and glory. I love that. that at the end of the day, though they have laboured in the fields of the Lord, they have never taken the honour, not even part of it. Since then, I always pray that every message, every service will be a blessing to many. that all will leave anointed and refreshed. that none will regret coming, none will leave with a negative conclusive impression. I pray with all my heart that they feel the heart of God, heart of the pastors, heart of the church.
